No week off for Webb Simpson

(AP) -- Webb Simpson says it never crossed his mind to take the week off after winning the U.S. Open.

Simpson took a red-eye flight from California on Sunday night to get to Connecticut for the Travelers Championship.

t's a tournament he says he feels loyal to after receiving a sponsor exemption in 2008.

Simpson says he believes it will be good for him to get back inside the ropes and play.
