(AP) - The only complaint about Matt Kuchar was not winning enough.
He picked up a big one Sunday in The Players Championship.
Kuchar avoided the big mistakes that slowed so many other contenders - starting with Kevin Na - and kept out of the water on the TPC Sawgrass at the end.
He closed with a 2-under 70 for a two-shot victory.
It was the fourth career win for Kuchar, and his first since the 2010 Barclays when Martin Laird three-putted the last hole and lost in a playoff.
Laird made the strongest run until a bogey on the 18th for a 67 and a four-way tie for second.
Rickie Fowler missed an 8-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole and shot 70.
Ben Curtis and Zach Johnson each had 68.
