(AP) -- The NFL draft starts this evening in New York with absolutely no drama surrounding the first two picks.

By virtue of having the worst record in the NFL last season, the new-look Indianapolis Colts have the first choice and have announced that the will be taking Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck.

He is considered by many to be the most NFL-ready quarterback since Peyton Manning - the man he's replacing in Indy.

The second pick belongs to Washington as the Redskins pulled off a trade with St. Louis to secure the chance of drafting Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III, the winner of the Heisman Trophy.

Griffin, who didn't play a pro-style offense in college like Luck, is faster and has a stronger arm than his Stanford counterpart.

Barring any trades the rest of the first five picks belong to the following teams, Minnesota, Cleveland and Tampa Bay.

The second five choices belong to the Rams, Jacksonville, Miami, Carolina and Buffalo.

The draft concludes Saturday.
