(AP) -- Iowa State recruit Anthony Odunsi won't be joining the Cyclones next season.
Cyclones spokesman Mike Green says Odunsi has asked for and been granted a release from the letter of intent he signed with Iowa State in November.
Odunsi, a 6-foot-3 guard from Ft. Bend, Texas, was one of three players coach Fred Hoiberg signed in his first recruiting class.
But the Cyclones should be deep in the backcourt next season.
Senior Scott Christopherson and sophomore Bubu Palo will be joined by transfers Chris Allen and Chris Babb, junior-college recruit Tyrus McGee and incoming freshman Tavon Sledge.
