Vesko Filchev led the Truman Men’s Basketball team with 14 points and eight rebounds in the final tune up before the regular season tips off on Monday night at home against Culver-Stockton. The Bulldogs lost 80-33 to Division I, Missouri-Kansas City.
Filchev was 5-of-7 from the field and made all four free throw attempts while playing a game-high 31 minutes for the Bulldogs.
Alex Henderson was second on the team in scoring with six points and chipped in three assists.
The Bulldogs shot 11-of-40 from the field (27%).
Truman’s two freshmen, Tom Norton and Matt Patterson, each had a three-pointer.
Jay Couisnard led the Kangaroos with 17 points as the game counted as a regular season game for Missouri-Kansas City. LaTreze Mushatt added 12 points.
Truman and Culver-Stockton will get things started at 7:30 p.m. from Pershing Arena.
