KIRKSVILLE, MO -- It's that time of the year again...Girl Scout cookies are back.

The Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri met up at the south McDonald's in Kirksville on this cold Saturday morning for their annual Cookie Kickoff event.

The girls came in to pick up their order forms and have a power breakfast before beginning to make those door to door visits and cookie sales.

For the group, this is always a big deal, but it is more than just raising money.

"The girls learn about goal settings. They learn about business ethics. They learn about people skills. They learn about money management. It's not just about selling to Grandma and teachers, it's learning about managing money in the future," said Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri Community Development Manager Sue Head.

This year all your favorite cookies such as Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Sandwich and Caramel Delights are back.

A new cookie, Mango Cream is making its debut this year.

The cookies will be delivered the end of February, and there will be cookie booths set up during the first two weeks of March for people to buy.
