KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Each year near the feast day of Saint Francis, Trinity Episcopal Church in Kirksville their annual Blessing of the Animals service.

All pets are welcome to to participate in the service besides your traditional dogs and cats.

Even if pets weren't present, pet owners brought pictures so they could be acknowledged.

Also, the church uses the day to raise money or donate items to the humane society.
