KIRKSVILLE, MO -- It’s time once again for the Mother-Son stampede.

The stampede is on Thursday, September 27 at the Truman Farm and Bruce Normile Center Grounds from 4 to 7 p.m.

Boys have to be age 5 and up to attend.

The cost is $6 per couple and $2 for each additional boy.

The Heartland Task Force president said there are a number of positive and fun activities.

“(We’ve been doing) the Mother-Son Stampede for a number of years,” Matthew Holt Heartland Task Force President said. “It's a positive social event for moms and sons to come out and engage in activities together or another special adult female in that child’s life.”

Holt said they will have activities such as a bounce house, BB gun shoot, archery and a bon fire where they'll be able to roast marshmallows.

He said kids really enjoy the Air Evac Life Team as well.
