SOUTH GIFFORD, MO -- Campers and motorcyclists came from all over to South Gifford on a sunny and chilly Sunday morning to worship at the Chariton River Rally Sunday Service. The service was lead by the Bondage Breakers Kirksville Chapter of the Christian Motorcycle Association.
"We are called to be a priest hood and make a connection between humanity and God. That's our purpose to share the gospel and minister," said Christian Motorcycle Association Member Steve Johnson.
For organizers there was no other group in the area who could share the powerful message of the gospel with others.
"I know what they do and I think their message is very important. I asked them to come out and share with us. They did. I appreciate that," said Event Coordinator Jessica Wobken.
Everyone involved in the rally service hopes many will take what they learned wherever they go.
"The gift of what Christ has given us and God we must accept it and live our life that way," Wobken said.
"God sent his son to die for us. The reasoning for that is restoration to himself. He created us,” Johnson said.
This Sunday service was all part of the weekend long Chariton River Rally Festival.
Organizers say they will plan a second event next year.
