KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- This is the last week you have to nominate Kirksville young professionals for the 5 under 40 award.

The deadline for nominations is at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14th. 

You can either send your nomination in electronically at kirksvilleyp@gmail.com or drop it off at the Chamber of Commerce.

The 5 under 40 award recognizes young professionals in the Kirksville community.

Those eligible to be nominated must be younger than 40 by September 14th of this year.

Also, those individuals are asked to posses dedication, excellence and professional development in their career and display a commitment to serving the community.

"Last year we had a great response with 28 nominations and 18 different people," said Kirksville Young Professional Board Director Erin Shaw. "We had about 100 people show up to the banquet, and this year we just hope to continue to grow and have more nominations, sponsors and attendees."

This year's award ceremony will be during the KVYP fall banquet on October 25th.
