KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- First year A.T. Still University students got an opportunity to sample some of what Kirksville's restaurants have to offer and to learn more about organizations the school has to offer students.

It was all part of ATSU's annual "Mini Taste of Kirksville."

The taste gives medical students the chance to learn about the variety of dishes served by area restaurants.

The participating restaurants want to make the students aware of eating options throughout the city.

Besides enjoying great food from one of the 14 eating establishments, the taste givesĀ ATSU an opportunity to showcase its more than 40 student organizations.

"We just really want everybody to get involved with the community and show them what Kirksville can offer for them while they're here studying," said ATSU's 2nd VP of S.G.A Mo. Campus Gina Doloresco.

This was the 13th year for the mini taste event.

Besides the restaurants and student groups, the chamber of commerce and an osteopathic table company were on hand to give out information.
