NOVINGER, MO -- The community of Novinger hosted a celebration Sunday night.

It all started around 7:00 p.m. with a community BBQ.

Then around 7:45, the Christian Rock Band "Resurrected" from St. Joseph, Missouri performed for the hundreds of people in the crowd.

Next, to cap off the excitement, a fireworks show started at dusk.

The event was sponsored by the West Chariton Fellowship.

Organizers say more than 300 people showed up.
