Four injured in Clark County accident

LURAY, MO. -- Four people are taken to the hospital after two separate accidents in Clark County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accidents happened around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, on closed County Road 32, about six miles north of Luray.
The Patrol said those involved were riding together, but in separate vehicles. In both accidents, the Patrol said the vehicles ran off a washed-out section of the roadway and hit an embankment, ejecting the occupants.
The first accident involved an ATV, driven 22-year-old Gavin Hauk of Memphis, Mo. and passenger Courtney Altum also of Memphis, Mo. Altum was transported with minor injuries to Scotland County Hospital and Hauk was transported to University Hospital with moderate injuries.
The other accident involved a Polaris Razor utility vehicle driven by 24-year-old Christopher Holt, of Memphis, Mo. and occupied by 35-year-old Courtney Ryan, of Bloomfield, Iowa.
Holt was transported to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Il. with moderate injuries while Ryan was transported to University Hospital with serious injuries.
