BLOOMFIELD, IOWA -- On Saturday Heartland residents will have a chance to make their cowboy fantasies come true.
The Federal Bureau of Land Management will have over 40 wild horses and burros ready for adoption at the Davis County Fairgrounds this weekend.
In short, if you have ever wanted to break a wild horse, here is your chance.
The animals can be adopted for a minimal fee, but potential owners must demonstrate they have the capacity to transport and care for the horses.
Those regulations can be found here.
The horse sale will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, at the Fair Pavilion.
Buyers can look over the stock on Friday, April 20 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.
