KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A Kirksville man accused of using a car as a weapon now knows when he will stand trial.
Robert McFeely, 54, is charged with first degree assault and DWI.
Court papers allege McFeely attempted to run over the victim with a vehicle on Elizabeth Street in Kirksville, after he had previously threatened her with a knife.
Police say they discovered McFeely with blood shot and glassy eyes, along with a strong smell of intoxicants at the scene of the incident.
Trial is set for June 21 in Adair County Circuit Court.
McFeely remains in the Adair County jail under $75,000 cash only bond.
