OUTSIDE LA PLATA, MO. -- A northeast Missouri man was killed early Friday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash near the Adair/Macon County line.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Michael Doubet, 52, of Memphis was killed when the truck he was driving went out of control, ran off the right side of Highway 3 and overturned.

Doubet was pronounced dead at the scene by Macon County Coroner Brian Hayes.

The crash happened just after noon Friday about five miles northwest of La Plata.
