Three people transported to the hospital after Davis County accident

DAVIS COUNTY, IOWA -- Three people have been transported to the hospital, after being involved in a two car crash around 11:15 a.m. Saturday morning at the intersection of Route J40 and V42 in Davis County.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, an F 350, driven by Steven Weller, 49, of Rose Hill, Iowa, was traveling southbound on V42 when it failed to stop at the stop sign and hit the passenger side of a Ford Taurus, driven by Christina Kruse, 36, of Bloomfield. Weller's truck then struck a utility pole .
Both of the vehicles came to rest in a ditch.
Also riding in Kruse's vehicle was Candace Cooper, 23, of Floris and Kamden Spears, 2, of Floris. Kruse, Cooper, and Spears were all transported by ambulance to the Davis County Hospital.
Cooper, who was hit in front passenger side, was not wearing a seatbelt. The Davis County Sheriff's Office, Bloomfield Fire Department, Pulaski Fire Department, and the Iowa State Patrol were all on scene.
