KIRKSVILLE, MO -- If you are one of those parents who are still making that last minute christmas shopping for your kids. Well read closely...as we share with you the top selling toys of the year.
    
KTVO stopped by the Kirksville Wal-Mart early Thursday afternoon to find steady crowds getting those items on their kids wish list.

Sales associate Judi Bishop said that Rock Elmo has been the top seller among the younger children.

The Easy Bake Oven set and the LalaLoopsy doll are the top toys among girls while NERF and Hot Wheels have been the top with boys.
    
Bikes and electronics are the most popular among the older kids and teenagers.

The top toy for all ages has been the Leap Frog education reading system.

If you want these items you still have time. Wal-Mart will be open 24 hours up to 8pm on Christmas Eve and will re-open on the 26th.

They advise to bring lots of patience with the large crowds and try to shop early in the day if possible.
