Man pleads guilty to taking thousands from employer

EDINA, MO -- A northeast Missouri man accused of stealing more than $50,000 from a business he was managing has entered a guilty plea.
Michael Combs, 42, of Atlanta, entered the plea in Knox County Circuit Court.
According to court records, while he was manager at Novelty Feed and Seed, Combs was accused of using business funds to buy personal items and trading business products for reductions in personal expenses.
Total theft from the business is estimated between at least $50,000 and $100,000. The incidents are alleged to have occurred between November 2007 and August 2009.
Feb. 10, 2012, is Combs' scheduled sentencing date.
