MEMPHIS, MO. -- A two-year-old is involved in a fatal accident Saturday evening after being hit by a Chevy Tahoe driven by her aunt.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dawn Garman, 22, of Memphis, Missouri, was exiting a circle drive on private property northwest of Memphis, when her niece, Cynthia Martin, walked out in front of her vehicle. The report indicates that the infant was struck by the vehicle's passenger side front tire. 

Martin was transported to the Scotland County hospital where she was pronounced dead an hour later.
