Community tip leads to capture

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- The Adair County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the community concerning the location of Cody Garrett Baringer, 23, of Kirksville, Monday morning. Baringer was wanted on eight warrants.
With assistance of officers from the Kirksville Police Department, Sheriff’s Office personnel located Baringer at #80 Town and Country Trailer Park Monday morning. He was arrested without incident.
Baringer had been on the City of Kirksville’s TextCaster, several weeks ago, as the “Fugitive of the Week”.
Baringer has been booked into the Adair County Detention Center on the following charges:
-Burglary – 2nd Degree Felony C
-Theft/Stealin – Value less than $500 Misdemeanor A
$25,000 Cash Bond Only
-Trespass – 1st Degree Misdemeanor B
-Property Damage – 2nd Degree Misdemeanor B
$500.00 Cash Only Bond
-Burglary – 2nd Degree Felony C
No Bond Authorized
-Tampering with Motor Vehicle – 1st Degree Felony C
-Leaving Scene of Motor Vehicle Accident – Injury, Property Damage or 2nd
Offense Felony D
-Excessive BAC Misdemeanor B
No Bond Authorized
