Kirksville residents got a chance to have a delicious breakfast Saturday morning
KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Kirksville residents got a chance to have a delicious breakfast Saturday morning.
The Kirksville Kiwanis, Quota, Sojourners, Women of Today, and Rotary Service Clubs all came together to throw a pancake breakfast at the cinema parking lot at The Square in downtown.
There was all you can eat pancakes and sausage with all the coffee and juice you can drink as well.
The event was part of the 7th Annual All American Red, White, and Blue Festival.
Event planners said in took many months and work to put all this together. But it was all worth it to help the community have fun this holiday weekend.
“The reason you join a service club is that you want to make your community a little bit better place.” Said Randy Hagerty, a member of the Pancake Committee. “We're people who have been blessed not only by the Kirksville community, but also by being Americans and the many blessings that we have from being in this country. So this is just one of the ways we can help give back and help the community have a fun time on the 4th of July.”
The festival is sponsored by The Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce and runs through Monday. All proceeds during the festival will go towards next year’s 4th of July.
