KIRKSVILLE, MO -- The Hospice of Northeast Missouri is seeking support for their Quarter Mile Campaign.

Their goal is to raise 63,360 quarters which is enough quarters to fill one mile.  Individuals are asked to donate a quarter, or however much they wish to support and help the hospice reach their goal.

Terrill Roberts, Hospice Volunteer Coordinator and Campaign Chair says, "Reaching the goal would mean a lot for Hospice of Northeast Missouri. The cost of providing quality end-of-life care to those in need is staggering."  All of the donated money will be going toward buying medical equipment and medications for their local terminally ill patients.

The generosity of community donors ensures that no patient is ever turned away because of an inability to pay. The campaign will run through the entire month of June.

A donation container will be at participating banks in the Hospice of Northeast Missouri area, which are Adair, Macon, Shelby, Lewis, Linn, Knox, Schuyler, Scotland, Clark, Putnam and Sullivan counties. In addition, HY-Vee shoppers in Kirksville and Unionville can make a donation at the register. Donations can also be dropped off or mailed to the hospice office in Kirksville.

The address to the Northeast Missouri Hospice Office is 201 South Baltimore Street, Kirksville, Missouri 63501. For any additional information, feel free to call the hospice office at 660-627-9711.
