Driver killed in blazing crash

APPANOOSE COUNTY, IOWA -- Updated 12:25 p.m. June 1
The victim has now been identified. According to Appanoose County Sheriff Gary Anderson, the victim is identified as Andrew Lind, 28, of Mystic, Iowa. Lind was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado at the time of the crash. The investigation is continuing.

One person is dead after a one-vehicle crash in Appanoose County Saturday night, just after 9 p.m.
According to the Appanoose County Sheriff's Office, a pickup was traveling north in the 18000 block of 200th Avenue northeast of Centerville.
The driver lost control and left the west side of the roadway. It struck a concrete bridge wall, which caused the pickup to become air borne and roll into a dtich near a creek.
The pickup caught fire and was completely destroyed.
The driver was found dead inside the pickup. The iowa State Medical Examiner's Office is making positive identificaition of the person.
