PUTNAM COUNTY, MO --
A Northeast Missouri man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Joe Gomez, 50, of Unionville, was southbound on Highway 129 one mile north of US 136, when he lost control after a tire blowout.

Gomez ran off the road and was thrown from the motorcycle.

He was taken by Life Flight to Mercy Medical in Des Moines, Iowa.
