EDINA, MISSOURI -- UPDATE:
Pick A Dilly Store Director Beth Bray says McClanahan's winning ticket is the biggest winner sold at the store since she started working there four years ago.
"It keeps the community upbeat in the times where's it's kind of a down time. We're all upbeat about it, glad it happened locally, glad that money's coming back into here so it's just great for everybody around," Bray said.
She says the store sells quite a few lottery tickets anyway, but the big win may have encouraged others to try their luck at the store.
"They've come in and they've bought other kinds of tickets, maybe not the Missouri Lotto ticket that was sold here. Sometimes people think lightning doesn't strike twice in the same spot, but they're still buying tickets," Bray said.

McClanahan said he did a quick pick, allowing the computer to pick his numbers for him. It’s a first time win for the Hurdland man, who said he would use his winnings to “get out of debt”.
McClanahan actually shared a $2.8 Million jackpot with someone who bought a ticket in the Missouri bootheel. The other winner has not yet come forward. Pick-A-Dilly will receive a check for $14,000 for selling the winning ticket.
