KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI -- The Kirksville Band had a successful day as they hosted the MSHSAA District Music Festival on April 1-2.

Among the students who participated, 15 solos and 2 ensembles received 1 ratings and will be participating in the State Music Festival on April 29 in Columbia.

The following ensembles received a 1 rating : saxophone trio- Chris Shinn, Courtney Blodgett, and Catie Shuey, and a brass quintet- Abbey Northcutt, Steven Wilhelm, Forrest Beck, Austin Motley, Ethan Murphy.
The soloists that received a 1 rating were Forrest Beck, Madelin Collop, Geordan Beck, Catie Shuey, Margo Krause, Steven Wilhelm, Austin Motley, Ashley Lyon, Chris Shinn, Ethan Murphy, Josh Jewell, Jessica Jewell, Arabelle Reed, Elizabeth Howard, and Brianna Broach.
