MODENA, MO -- UPDATE: 4:10 p.m. Sunday

The Mercer County Sheriff's have identified the victims as Waylon Wages, 33, Lisa Tunnell, 41, and Misty Hufford, 37. The shooter was John Hufford,  50. All were residents of the Princeton area.

Authorities say the Huffords were in the midst of a divorce and that's why John Hufford killed his wife Misty. The other two victims were acquainstances of the couple.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests are expected in connection with the incident.

Authorities have confirmed what they're calling an apparent triple/murder suicide in rural Mercer County.

Around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon, the Mercer County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to RR1 Princeton southwest of Modena on reports of a shooting.

Upon Sheriff Steve Stockman's arrival, four deceased bodies were found. According to Stockman, the incident involving two males and two females had taken place minutes before authorities arrived.

Names of the victims will be released upon notification to the families.
