BLOOMFIELD, IOWA -- UPDATE- Authorities say a teenager who was retrieving arrows from the middle of a frozen-over pond in Southeast Iowa drowned after breaking through the ice.
Bloomfield Police Chief Sean Armstrong told The Ottumwa Courier that the body of Tyler Steele, 16, was recovered from the pond at 6:10 p.m. Sunday. Armstrong says Steele went into the water around 4:35 p.m.
Armstrong says Steele and some friends had been shooting arrows in one of the boy's backyards, and two of the arrows landed on the ice in the middle of the pond. An autopsy will be performed.
UPDATE (8:35) -- KTVO has learned the identity of the victim who drowned in a Bloomfield pond Sunday evening.
Tyler Steele's body has been recovered by local authorties.
According to Bloomfield Police Chief Shawn Armstrong, the incident happened around 4:35 Sunday afternoon at Boatman’s Pond in Bloomfield.
Keith Wolver and and R-J Hornback were with Steele at the time, but it is believed that Steele was the only one that fell into the icy pond.
Nearly 40 people were involved in the search efforts, including the Bloomfield Police Department, Davis County Sheriff’s Office and several fire departments.
The Appanoose County Dive Team had just arrived to assist in the search when Steele's body was recovered at 6:10 Sunday evening.
Wolver and Hornback were taken to the hospital to be checked out, but were later released.
Steele's body will be taken to Des Moines for an autopsy.

UPDATE (7:38) -- KTVO can confirm a 16-year-old was pulled from Boatman Pond at 6:10 p.m. Sunday. Two other males were also pulled from the waters and taken to a local hospital. The 9-1-1 call came at 4:35. The body is being taken to Des Moines for an autopsy.

KTVO learned around 4:45 this afternoon of a possible drowning around the Bloomfield County Club off of Golf Course View Lane in Bloomfield, Iowa.
Bloomfield Police Department, Davis County Sheriff's Office, Iowa State Patrol and Bloomfield Fire Department are currently on the scene. Rescue boats and a helicopter were also called to the scene.
