LINN COUNTY, MO --
A crash involving unusual circumstances Saturday morning sent a Heartland man to the hospital.
    
An unknown vehicle was northbound on Highway 5 north of Marceline when the load it was carrying came loose and hit the windshield of an oncoming vehicle driven by Clarence Atwell, 70, of Marceline.
   
He was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield for treatment.
    
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the unknown vehicle continued north and has still not been located.
