Man charged with criminal mischief

FAIRFIELD, IOWA -- A Fairfield man is locked up after an incident in Birmingham, Iowa.
Authorities say Timothy Butler, 44, and a former girlfriend were involved in a verbal dispute when Butler allegedly hit a parked car with his vehicle intentionally while leaving her residence.
A small amount of marijuana was found on Butler during his arrest.
He's charged with criminal mischief in the second degree, a class D felony, and possession of marijuana.
Butler's being held in the Van Buren County Jail awaiting an initial appearance.
