2010 Firearms Deer Season

The Missouri Department of Conservation has released its annual report.
KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI -- Here is a summary of the deer harvest in Northeast Missouri.
All 15 counties showed an increase in their deer harvest with the exception of Adair County...which was down 36 deer harvested over 2009.
Knox County showed the greates increase of deer harvested over last year...an increase of 557 deer.
Monroe and Pike County also had over 350 more deer harvested in 2010 over 2009. These numbers include button and antlered bucks.
And Shelby County also showed an increase of 455 more deer harvested this year in contrast to 2009.
Over 32,000 deer were harvested in Northeast Missouri alone, and more than 188,000 deer were harvested across the state of Missouri during Firearms Deer Season.
