CALLAO, MO -- American Legion Post 360 based out of Callao, Missouri, celebrated their new home on Saturday. Since 1954 Post 360 has been housed in the same building which has been deteriorating over the years.
“The old building we had was in need of a lot of maintenance repair” said Post 360 Commander Bob Maddox. “We’re very excited to be moving into this building. It’s a lot cleaner, nicer, and friendlier.”
Missouri American Legion Commander Lynn Dorrell traveled all the way from Washington, Missouri, to help commemorate the new building.
“Well any time a post has a dedication or event like this, it’s always good publicity for the state commander to be in attendance” said Dorrell. “Bob called me and asked me to do this and I couldn’t have had a better honor.”
Post 360 was established in 1947.
