MACON, MISSOURI -- Press Release from MoDOT

A new four-lane section from Clarence to Shelbina will open to traffic on Monday, August 16 at 10:00 a.m. This will include the Cardinal Connector near South Shelby High School and Route FF as well.

Motorists should expect delays of up to 20 minutes during the opening. Motorists will need to be extra cautious in the work zone during and after the opening as traffic adjusts to the new traffic patterns.

After the opening is complete the contractor will continue to work in the area.  Motorists should expect lane drops and speed reductions in this area in the coming weeks.

This project is weather dependent and could be delayed or rescheduled. MoDOT appreciates the patience of motorists during the completion of this extensive project.
