Pond search for body is negative, person still missing

BEVIER, MO -- On Tuesday evening, Macon authorities responded to a call of a possible drowning at a private farm pond in Bevier, Missouri. Macon County Sheriff Robert Dawson told KTVO Macon County Rescue Squad drug the pond numerous times and did not find a body.
Sheriff Dawson said the believed victim was Trent Cunningham, 34. Cunningham was reported missing on Monday by his mother. He is currently on summer vacation back home in Bevier from his school outside of the country. Sheriff Dawson said Cunningham’s mother went to the store on Monday and when she returned, her son was gone.
The Missouri Highway Patrol and Bevier Fire Department also responded to the call.
Sheriff Dawson said Cunningham arrived back in the United States last week.
