KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A Heartland woman is accused of growing pot in her apartment next to her young child’s crib.

Stefanie Williamson, 20, of Kirksville is facing three drug charges after her arrest Sunday at her apartment in the 200 block of South Halliburton.

Williamson is charged with felony possession of a generic brand of Xanax, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use.

In court documents, police officers state that they found prescription pills in a small child's shoes, a large bag of leafy substance believed to be marijuana and a grow light and some marijuana plants being grown on a bedroom floor next to a small child's crib.

The court documents indicate the child was not home at the time but does appear to live in the apartment with Williamson.

Police said they found multiple glass pipes with residue, needles and other drug-related items throughout the residence.
