DES MOINES, IOWA -- The Iowa June primary will feature several crowded and competitive races.

Iowa's filing deadline was Friday at 5 p.m.

Our Fact Finder team has learned all of the state's U.S. Congressional Representatives will face a challenger in this election cycle. In the 2nd District race four Republicans will face off in the primary to determine who will face incumbent Democrat Dave Loebsack in the November general election.

In the U.S. Senate race, Fact Finder discovered three democrats will vie for the chance to run against incumbent Republican Chuck Grassley.

Republicans Terry Branstand, Rod Roberts, and Bob Vander Plaats will battle for the right to challenge Democratic Gov. Chet Culver for the state's top job.

Both parties will fight for control of a legislature where both chambers are currently controlled by democrats. Democrats control the House on a 56-44 margin, and the Senate on a margin of 32-18.

Iowa will hold its primary election June 8.
