A former LaPlata woman, charged in the death of a LaPlata man three years ago, enters a guilty plea in Adair County Circuit Court.  

40-year-old Carri Partin pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of First Degree Involuntary Manslaughter. 

That charge is in connection with a fatal crash during the 2006 Memorial Day weekend. 

It’s alleged that Partin was intoxicated when the SUV she was driving on Highway 63 went off the road and overturned several times near Millard, Missouri. 

A passenger in the SUV, 33-year-old Jason List of LaPlata, was thrown from the vehicle in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene. 

Partin was originally charged with Felony Murder, however the charge was dropped from an "A" felony to the "B" felony of Involuntary Manslaughter. 

She’s scheduled to be sentenced on February first. 

Prosecutor Mark Williams is asking for a 15 year prison sentence.
