CLARENCE, MO. -- Northeast Missouri investigators are trying to solve their second bank robbery in less than a week.

Last Thursday, two men held up the bank in Winigan.

Tuesday morning, two men robbed the Community State Bank in Clarence.

Shelby County Sheriff Dennis Perrigo told KTVO the suspect who entered the bank is a thin white male, about six feet tall with short-cropped hair.

He was wearing a mesh mask, a dark shirt and dark jogging pants with a white stripe down the side.

The sheriff said he was armed with a handgun and demanded money.

Reporter: "How did the gentleman gain entry to the bank? Did he come through the front door or side door?”

"(He) walked in the front door and back out the front door. He was there a short period of time and gone," said Perrigo.

After getting about $5,000, the masked man left the bank headed east on foot.

Authorities believe the getaway car was parked a short distance from the bank.

The car is described as a white ‘90s model Buick or Pontiac car, the same as the getaway car in the Winigan bank robbery.

They also say it has possible front-end damage.

The second suspect is described as a white guy with dark hair and a beard.

Perrigo says three employees were inside the bank during the holdup. No one was injured.

Investigators from the FBI, the Shelby County Sheriff's Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Clarence Police Department are reviewing the bank's surveillance tape.

The suspects from both bank robberies remain on the loose.
