(OTTUMWA, Iowa) - The City of Bridges is soon going to be down a bridge.

The City of Ottumwa announced Friday that the Market Street Bridge will be closed for repairs starting on June 15.

The resurfacing work on the bridge is expected to take about two weeks, but could be longer if the weather doesn't cooperate.

Motorists and pedestrians will need to find alternate routes and the Public Works Department expects the closure will cause congestion in the downtown area.
