Police set up St. Pats crackdown

CENTERVILLE, Iowa) - Iowa law enforcement officers are warning motorists to not let too much green beer lead to an orange jumpsuit.
The Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau announced a major crackdown on drunk drivers centered on next week's St. Patrick's Day holiday. The special Traffic, Enforcement Program (sTEP) is designed to target drunk drivers.
And one area lawman is putting the full weight of his department behind the effort.EFFORT.
Centerville Police Chief Tom Demry has committed nearly 20 hours of overtime to supporting the effort next week.
Last year the sTEP crackdown took 457 drunk drivers off Iowa's roadways.
