KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Recently we told you about an election day special where you could get a unique gift for voting, and you listened.

At Dyed Hyed Tattoo in Kirksville Tuesday, you could get a free piercing if you showed your voter registration card and an "I voted sticker."

At the tattoo parlor Tuesday afternoon customers were lined up down the street.

We spoke to the owner of the shop, an Obama supporter who says he estimates 99.9% of his customers tell him they voted for "his guy."

We wanted to know if they had the supply to support the high demand.

"Well, I hope so.  I've got plenty for right now but as it dwindles down, you know, I'm just gonna have to give up on it.  But I've got enough to take care of today (Tuesday) and probably if there's a large enough demand then I'll go ahead and take care of people tomorrow (Wednesday) for the same deal,” says Dyed Hyde owner “Flash.”

Flash says the most popular piercing was the upper-ear or the nose.

He also says most of his customers were college students but his first client was from 65 miles out of town.
