KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- One of the two people injured in Saturday's fatal car crash on Route O north of Novinger is doing better tonight.

Officials at University Hospital in Columbia tell me 8-year-old Shane Ferguson has improved from serious condition to good condition today. 

Shane was a passenger in a van driven by 39-year-old Ann Ferguson of Greencastle. That van was traveling southbound on Route O when it rear-ended a MODOT truck, injuring both Shane and Ann Ferguson and killing the third person in the vehicle, 10-year-old Allison Pfeiffer of Greencastle.

Ann Ferguson remains in critical condition at University Hospital tonight.

Funeral arrangements for Allison Pfeiffer have not yet been set.
