LACLEDE, MO. -- UPDATE: There will be an organized search for the missing elderly woman Jean Boxely, from Laclede. Anyone interested in helping should report to the Lambert Building in Laclede, Mo. November 21 at 8:00 a.m.
The search is on for an elderly northern Missouri woman who has been missing since Friday.
Family members told KTVO that Jean Boxely, 82, of Laclede, Missouri was last seen by relatives Friday afternoon.
She had told them she was going to the home of one of her granddaughters who lives less than a mile away, but Boxely did not stop at the home and just kept driving.
The family said Boxely doesn't have any known medical conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease that could explain her behavior.
Boxely drives a 1991 light-yellow Mercury Marquis.
The Brookfield Police Department confirmed for KTVO that Boxely is missing.
If you have seen her or her light-yellow Mercury Marquis, you are asked to call your local law enforcement agency immediately.
