KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville held its annual soup supper, bazaar and auction fundraiser Friday night.

All of the proceeds go to the residents’ Christmas fund.

It allows the center to purchase individualized Christmas gifts for each resident.

“From donations that have come in prior to the evening (we had) around $1,800, but usually this is the night that really we have more money come in than any other time,” Twin Pines Adult Care Center Administrator Linnette Baker said. “We're really excited about what the potential is for our residents for this year. And, we've had a great turnout tonight (Friday).”

Baker said for some residents this may be the only gift they receive during the holiday season.
