Ricky Parris, charged with a felony count of possession of child pornography
MILAN, MO. -- A northeast Missouri man currently facing a sex related felony charge in one county is now facing another felony charge in an adjoining county.
Ricky Parris, 52, has been charged with a felony count of possession of child pornography in Sullivan County. Parris was free on bond at the time of his arrest. He is charged with first degree child molestation in neighboring Putnam County. That charge stems from incidents that allegedly occurred while he was a school bus driver in Putnam County.
The latest arrest stems from an investigation by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office and Kirksville police.
According to court papers, after authorities seized a computer from the Parris residence near Milan, they found more than 28 images of child pornography on the computer, along with several searches for subjects that relate to child pornography.
Parris is currently being held in Ozark County. He is expected to be returned to northeast Missouri, where he will be held under $50,000 cash only bond.
