A young participant in the Hee-Haw Comedy Show
LANCASTER, MO. -- Two Schuyler County organizations came together to bring laughs to many, but also to raise money for a good cause.
The two day Hee-Haw variety show was put on by the Schuyler County Nutrition Site and Historical Society.
The show had various acts such as comedy, singing and short skits.
This was the first year of the event as the two organizations used the show as a fundraiser for needs to their buildings.
And with it being the first time of this event organizers were thrilled with the support they got for it.
The community has stepped up and they all come together. It worked out. Friday night, we did the same show and had a huge turnout.Today's show (Sunday) was smaller but very nice," said Schuyler County Nutrition Site Director Kebbie Sullivan.
Around $1,600 was raised during the event.
