KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- The chaos in Libya has sparked a lot controversy. Debate continues over the President's handling of the situation and the reaction from Republican Presdential candidate Mitt Romney.

Thursday, we caught up with some members of the community to get their thoughts on the situation.

It makes me more sad about politics," said Brad Dyer a, Truman student. "I guess just seeing people's predetermined bias because I'm very independent. I like something's Obama does. I like his social policies.  I like Romney's economic policies, but it makes me sad people can't get along with this and can't give it breverity.

"Romney should've taken a lesson from Regan and Bush in their reaction to Carter and 1980 when there was a conflict in Iran and say it's a time to united rather than create a political attack," said Jason Shaw a Truman professor.

"It's unfortunate that immediately we sort of turn to the political aspect, which I don't think is really different from the past. Now, that we have social medial 24/7, news it's available much more quickly, but politics is politics," said Steven Kohner a Truman student.
