OTTUMWA, IOWA -- As the Democratic National Convention gets underway, Republicans are reflecting on their own convention.
In Wapello County, Republicans say they were pleased with both Governor Romney and Congressman Paul Ryan's speeches, being that they both had the same message to potential voters.
"The message was, we built it, and the message was, we can do better. Again, it was a message of responsibility. if you listen to these people speak, all of them basically, everyone talked from working hard to becoming successful," said Wapello County Republican Chair Trudy Caviness.
Caviness also said that it is important, that no matter who you are going to vote for, to watch both conventions, so that you can be informed on the issues facing our country.
