CLARK COUNTY, MO. -- Clark County Missouri Sheriff Paul Gaudette contacted KTVO Tuesday to try to clear up some incorrect information that he says is floating around some social networking sites.
The incorrect information is concerning a possible child abduction attempt that happened over this past weekend.
The sheriff wanted to get out the correct information about a person of interest they would like to talk to. Gaudette says they are looking for an older Hispanic male who was seen driving an older model black Toyota Camry.
The incident that was reported happened on Saturday morning in Kahoka when two small children were approached by a man in the Camry. He asked if they needed a ride, then drove off after the children said no.
If you spot an older model black Toyota Camry, you are urged to write down the license number and call the Clark County Sheriff's Office at 660-727-2915.
